Tividale FC 0–3 AFC Wolverhampton City Tividale fell to a disappointing 3–0 defeat against AFC Wolverhampton City, with the final scoreline not fully reflecting large periods of the contest. For much of the first half, Tividale competed well and remained firmly in the game, working hard as a unit and limiting the visitors. However, the timing of the opening goal proved particularly frustrating. With the sides heading towards half-time level, AFC Wolverhampton City took advantage of a corner in the 45th minute to go into the break 1–0 ahead. The start of the second half then proved costly. Just a minute after the restart, another corner resulted in a second goal for the visitors, turning a competitive game into a much more difficult challenge within the space of a couple of minutes either side of half-time. Tividale continued to work and looked to find a route back into the game, but AFC Wolverhampton City managed the second half well and protected their advantage. The visitors eventually added a third in the 89th minute from the penalty spot to complete a 3–0 victory. It was ultimately a disappointing scoreline for Tividale, with two goals from corners at crucial moments proving decisive. There were positives within the performance, but the challenge now is to become more ruthless in both boxes and ensure competitive performances start turning into the results they deserve.
