Tividale produced a commanding performance in the JW Hunt Cup as they secured an emphatic 6-0 victory over Old Wulfrunians. From the opening whistle, Tivi played with real intensity and purpose, moving the ball quickly, pressing aggressively and constantly looking to threaten the visitors’ goal. It was a strong cup performance from start to finish, with the side setting the tempo early and never allowing Old Wulfrunians to properly settle into the contest. The pressure was soon rewarded as the goals began to flow, with Tividale showing a ruthless edge in the final third and making their dominance count. There was plenty of movement in attacking areas, good runs in behind and a real willingness to commit bodies forward whenever opportunities opened up. Just as importantly, the work without the ball was excellent. Tividale remained organised, disciplined and aggressive across the pitch, limiting Old Wulfrunians to very few clear opportunities and maintaining control of the game throughout. There was no drop in standards after the break either. Tivi continued to push forward, kept the intensity high and added further goals as the game progressed. Even with the tie effectively secured, the players continued to demand more from each other and showed a real determination to protect the clean sheet. The final whistle confirmed a convincing 6-0 victory and progression into the next round of the JW Hunt Cup. After a challenging opening period of the season, performances have continued to move in the right direction, and this was another positive step forward for the group. Six goals, a clean sheet and a place in the next round. A very productive night’s work.
